Apocalypse...Now :)

After 3 long years the Phoenix arises from ashes and unleashes a fury so tremendous , it results in Apocalypse.

Tss accomplished the impossible task of organizing event in a nick of time.
The event took place in our CSE dept lab and it was named as BattleField.
We had more than 16 computers on Lan (Thanks to Technical Team)

Registration per Game war mere Rs.20 (omgggg) and for girls it was free ;)

We got more than 100 registrations w0w !!
Gamers were full of enthusiasm and passion.
The music was thunderous and videos were also on display.
We even had a food mart there (Thanks to cafe strudel).
We got great response from people. Students from colleges like Dav College, Khalsa college and Regional Campus Jal were also present. We even had some kids there from Spring Dales School trying there hands in gaming.

Games for the event were as

We started off by 9 in the morning and finished by 8 evening ..11 hours of continuous gaming lol.

Internships and career

Let's try thinking a little differently. How do you measure your work satisfaction?

is it the money you earn? or is it the work you do?

If you think doing good work matters a lot , so much that you could easily ignore the money coming in for first few years, than probably you should think about joining a startup

What is a Startup? A Startup is a company which is in its early stage of growth. It is most probably the founder of the company with a small team of five to ten people (or maybe less) working hard at a fabulous problem and to grow. There are two ways a startup could go: a) Really really big, or b) Go nowhere. The option is that you learn a lot from being part of a small group of people since you learn everything related to running a company and everything that goes on, which is an experience you will never get working for a corporate, and also if the startup grows big, you make a lot of money along with the founders.

What does it mean to work for a Startup? It would mean:

1. A committed job which would be an amazing place for passionate people
2. Slightly long hours of work
3. A very tightly knit team which is dedicated, passionate and probably the smartest set of people you will meet
4. Slightly lower salaries
5. High Payback options on success

Some Companies that i have found worthwhile to think about:
3dgraphics.com (graphics)
Alabot (Natural language processing and AI)
Appnetix techno pvt ltd. (Java, J2EE)
Olive e-buisness (.NET)

I'll add a few more names later, meanwhile take a look on these two.
Alabot is my personal favourite, they have good work.

Legend of Robin hood and FriarTuck

A beautifully scripted hack can bring a mighty group of programmers to the edge of their chairs,

Computers as a science is a beautiful subject with so many possibilities to create such stuff that could be deemed as an art in itself. Possibilities are unlimited
